The key for candidates is to have a definative list of what is important to you - not just money and benefits but all the other intangibles - team, opportunity, learning etc etc. Also critical is knowing what are their deal breakers and be sure the offer matches that. Deal breakers are items that you must be prepared to walk away if its not satisified - these could be areas of negotiation to balance one offer over another. If you really want to work for Company A but they have a deal breaker and Company B does not, it is perfectly fair to go and see if A will budge to close the deal.Bottom line is if you have an offer you are their choice, you might be in a stronger position that you think - but don't get arrogant!

Lindsay – great advice. I have had people accept and then later renege on an offer and I never forgot it.

Thanks for the advice — reaffirming.
