There now appear to be three competing bills. 2 in the House and 1 in the Senate.

The Senate bill is the most ambitious; among other things it increases the subsidy to 75%.

I’d encourage you to check into other options, just in case the subsidy does not pass. You can go to http://www.CoverageForAll.org and they can tell you about Government programs in your area. You can also get quotes for private insurance on our web site – http://www.ehealthinsurance.com.

Does HR 3930 look like it has a chance of passing any time soon? This is my last month of COBRA subsidy. I’ve received a letter that my rate will jump from $134 a month to $380 a month.

I’m staying positive that a job will come, but it’s been a long year.
