Pro bono work is like magical door that always opens to anyone who is having a hard time getting experience in the field they desire to transition to.As far as studying goes, it does not take all that long to gain expert knowledge with a focused course of study. After 6 months you may not know more than the top experts in your field, but you can easily know more about a subject area than anyone at a company which is looking for help in your new area of expertise.
